GEO Targeting
GEO Targeting lets you use different default consent behavior for different regions without maintaining separate CMP setups.
What it does
You can configure region-specific defaults for Google Consent Mode signals. GTM installs can use the template's regional rows, while hardcoded installs can use CleanCMP regional overrides.
Why it matters
Consent expectations and tracking rules differ by market. Regional defaults help you avoid treating every visitor the same when your setup requires more specific behavior.
How to use it
Define the regions, choose granted or denied defaults for each signal, publish, and test the public config and GTM preview behavior for those regions.
What you get
- Configure regional defaults
- Use GTM regional rows
- Test market-specific behavior
Use GEO Targeting in CleanCMP
CleanCMP includes this feature in the same workspace as the scanner, banner builder, Consent Mode v2 mapping, reporting, and publish history.
