Cookie Scanner
The Cookie Scanner helps you stop guessing which cookies and tracking tools your website uses. It gives you evidence to review before you assign categories and publish a cookie policy.
What it does
The scanner opens your website in a real browser and collects cookies, storage keys, network hosts, request URLs, and Set-Cookie evidence. It can also check what appears before consent, after accept all, and after tracking URL parameters.
Why it matters
A cookie banner is only useful if the cookie list behind it reflects the real site. Scanning first helps catch analytics, advertising, ecommerce, embedded media, and platform cookies that are easy to miss by hand.
How to use it
Run a scan, review the findings, add relevant cookies to your configured rows, check the purpose and expiry, then save and publish. Unknown cookies should be reviewed instead of blindly auto-published.
What you get
- Find cookies and storage evidence
- Review unknown cookies
- Build a stronger cookie policy
Use Cookie Scanner in CleanCMP
CleanCMP includes this feature in the same workspace as the scanner, banner builder, Consent Mode v2 mapping, reporting, and publish history.
