Consent Mode V2
Consent Mode v2 is the connection between visitor choices and Google tags. CleanCMP helps make that connection practical without custom consent code.
What it does
CleanCMP maps banner categories such as analytics, marketing, and personalization to Google consent signals like analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.
Why it matters
Google tags need a default consent state and an update after the visitor chooses. If those signals are missing or late, the banner may look right while the tracking setup is still wrong.
How to use it
Configure the Consent settings, choose GTM or direct install, publish, and verify that reject, accept, and custom choices produce the expected Google consent state.
What you get
- Map categories to signals
- Set defaults
- Update after choice
Use Consent Mode V2 in CleanCMP
CleanCMP includes this feature in the same workspace as the scanner, banner builder, Consent Mode v2 mapping, reporting, and publish history.
